Public Transportation 

The easiest way to get around in Richmond is considered to be by car. Parking spaces are relatively easy to find and the city is mostly easy to navigate, some of the streets in the city's oldest areas, however, being very narrow and one-way.

The public transportation service is offered by GRTC (Greater Richmond Transit Company), which operates a bus service across the city and partially into neighboring Henrico and Chesterfield Counties. The regular fare is $1.25 for local routes and $1.75 for the express routes. Be sure to give exact change only.

Richmond is also served by the Greyhound Bus Lines, which has a terminal about 4 miles west of Downtown Richmond and 1 mile north of the Museum District, and by Amtrak, which has 2 train stations in the city, the primary station being Staples Mill station (RVR), situated in suburban Henrico County, served by Northeast Corridor trains as well as several lines, which run toward the Carolinas and Florida.

To Monroe Park Campus: Head north on Richard E Byrd Terminal Dr., toward Clarkson Rd., and make a slight right at S Airport Dr. Merge onto I-64 W via the ramp to I-95/Richmond and take exit 76A toward Chamberlayne Ave. Turn left at Chamberlayne Pkwy. and right at N Adams St. Turn right at W Broad St. and make a U-turn at Gilmer St. The cmapus entrance will be on the right.

To MCV Campus: Head north on Richard E Byrd Terminal Dr., toward Clarkson Rd. and make a slight right at S Airport Dr. Turn left at US-60 W/Williamsburg Rd. and continue to follow Williamsburg Rd. Make a slight right at E Main St. and turn right at N 14th St. Turn left at E Broad St. and take the 3rd right onto N 11th St. The campus entrance will be on the right.
